Augustus Pablo aka Horace Swaby is a reference artist of dub & roots reggae. The master of melodica was born in 1954 in St. Andrew, Jamaica and died in may 1999 of cancer.
He was a great musicain, player of melodica, but also a producer. With his own label Rockers International, he worked with Hugh Mundell, Yami Bolo and Junior Delgado to name a few. He used to work with many producers as Lee Perry, Bunny Lee, Clement Dodd for Studio One to name a few. His productions and his music have struck and influenced a lot the whole reggae music since 1970. His control of melodica has raised this instrument to a high level and influenced several artists, specially the uk scene.
