Deejay - Born, 1973 - Real name: Mark Myrie

Buju Banton aka Mark Anthony Myrie aka Gargamel is one of most populary deejay of the 1990s, well known for his powerful voice and flow.

He was born in 1973, near Kingston, Jamaica. 12 years later, the young deejay released his debut single "The ruler", produced by Robert French. Followed only one year later, in 1993, with his first official album, "Mr Mention". In spite of different controversies concerning his lyrics Buju Banton got an international renowned, particularily with "Til Shiloh", released in 1995.
