Dennis Alcapone, born in Clarendon in 1947 is one of the original Jamaican deejays. He began working with sound system El Paso Hi-Fi in 1969 and recorded his first album in 1971. He worked with some of the best Jamaican producers as Bunny Lee, Coxsone Dodd, Keith Hudson, Duke Reid and Prince Buster to name just a few. In 1974 he settled in London keeping on touring all over the world and recording in Jamaica.
